Our speaker for this fun and informative happy hour event is noted author and branding expert Laura Ries of Ries & Ries in Atlanta.  Laura will present remarks based on her newly released book War in the Boardroom:  Why Left-Brain Management and Right-Brain Marketing Don't See Eye-to-Eye and What to Do About It, which has received outstanding reviews from the likes of USA TODAY

Laura -- a frequent commentator and source for Fox News, CNN, the Wall Street Journal, and Advertising Age -- will discuss how you get marketing and management to better understand and appreciate each other's roles in helping brands succeed.  Working together can be difficult when one side believes in reality, cleverness and communication and the other side believes in perception, credentials and positioning.

Laura and her father, marketing strategist Al Ries, have co-authored five books, including War in the Boardroom,The Origin of Brands, The 22 Immutable Laws of Branding, The 11 Immutable Laws of Internet Branding and The Fall of Advertising & the Rise of PR.
