BALTIMORE, October 3, 2008 -- Warschawski, a full-service public relations, marketing and branding agency, today announced the launch of Martini Marketing with Warschawski; a speakers' series that will engage, inspire and inform Baltimore area professionals through expert commentary on topics in marketing communications.  The first Martini Marketing with Warschawski takes place on Thursday, October 23, at the just-opened Luckie's Tavern in Power Plant Live.  Guest speaker Peter Shankman, CEO of New York-based The Geek Factory, Inc. and founder of Help a Reporter, will present remarks entitled:  It's not web 2.0. It's not web 3.0. It's simply life.

"Warschawski believes that doing good work and having fun are not mutually exclusive - in fact, we feel that the marriage of the two is one key to our agency's success.  We are thrilled to create the opportunity for other business leaders and marketing communications pros to learn more about trends and issues in branding, marketing and PR in an informal social setting,"  commented David Warschawski, CEO of Warschawski.  "Martini Marketing with Warschawski will feature regional and national figures who offer a unique and entertaining perspective on both consumer and business-to-business marketing."

The inaugural Martini Marketing event features Peter Shankman, who will lead a discussion on social networking and viral marketing tools - from Facebook to Twitter and LinkedIn, addressing the most effective ways to use them and, perhaps most importantly, why sometimes not using any of them is a marketer's best bet.   The event, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., will allow time for networking, socializing, questions and dialogue.
