Our internship is not like other marketing communications internships.  In fact, we don't even use the term "internship" or "interns" because it doesn't accurately depict the position.

An intern at Warschawski is considered an Assistant Associate (an AA) or an Assistant Creative (an AC), and our program is called our AA Program. AAs and ACs play an integral role within the Warschawski team and on client accounts.  They are considered and treated as full team members.

In addition to administrative duties, our AAs and ACs get real hands-on experience working as part of account teams, not merely as observers.  At Warschawski, AAs and ACs learn how and why strategic decisions are made.  They are welcome and encouraged to participate in brainstorming and strategic sessions, and are proactively involved in account work and assisting full-time team members on client work.

All AAs and ACs receive continuous mentorship from the AA Program administrators.  AAs and ACs also receive at least one 360 degree review during their AA term at Warschawski, and are often provided with on the spot feedback and mentoring.

AA Applicants must have strong writing, communications and interpersonal skills.  Confidence, poise, an inquisitive nature and an entrepreneurial spirit are pluses.  Applicants should also have a strong desire to enter the marketing communications field and a continued willingness to learn throughout their AA tenure.  Proficiency in typing, basic Internet and computer skills (i.e. working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel) are required.  Preference is given to recently graduated college seniors, and students in their senior or junior year of college.

AC Applicants should have the following skills:
• PHP
• MySQL
• Javascript
• ActionScript 2 & 3
• Adobe Photoshop

Other skills preferred but not mandatory:
• Flash
• Ruby on Rails
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe InDesign
• Dreamweaver

As Warschawski offers a truly unique immersion experience, AAs and ACs are required to commit to the entire three month term of the AA Program.

Hours:  The AA Program is full-time and requires the AA/AC to work 40 hours per week.  This is an unpaid program.  We do offer the opportunity for college credit.

What will you gain from your AA or AC experience?  Our program will offer you first-hand experience and the opportunity to assemble a comprehensive branding, marketing, public relations, advertising, digital and creative design portfolio, which will give you a competitive advantage when applying for a job in the marketing communications field.

Based on an AA's or AC's performance, Warschawski may offer continued employment opportunities upon the completion of the program.  Many full-time Warschawski team members have gone through our AA Program.

To apply for an AA or AC position, please send your resume and cover letter to Erin Bradin at erin.bradin@warschawski.com.
