Our internship is not like other marketing communications internships.

In fact, we don’t even use the term “internship” or “interns” because it doesn’t accurately depict the position.


An intern at Warschawski is considered an Assistant Associate (an AA) and our program is called our AA Program. AAs play an integral role within the Warschawski team and on client accounts.  They are considered and treated as full-time team members.

In addition to administrative duties, our AAs get real hands-on experience working as part of account teams, not merely as observers.  At Warschawski, AAs learn how and why strategic decisions are made.  They are welcome and encouraged to participate in brainstorming and strategic sessions, and are proactively involved in account work and assisting full-time team members on client work.

Warschawski offers two tracks within our AA Program.

Marketing Communications AA

Marcom AA applicants must have confidence, poise, an inquisitive nature and an entrepreneurial spirit.  You will work with our team to help create and execute integrated marketing communications campaigns for our clients that span many areas, including email, digital, PR, advertising, branding, and more.

Required skills:

  • Must be a college student or a recent graduate (preference is given to juniors, seniors or recent graduates)
  • Excellent writing, communications and interpersonal skills
  • Must be detail oriented, organized and able to demonstrate initiative
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Prior agency experience a plus

Creative AA

We’re looking for a sharp and ambitious graphic design and/or web development AA. As our Creative AA, you will work closely with our team of marketing professionals, designers and developers to help create and implement the most thorough and engaging products possible for our wide range of clients. If you are a designer, you will design for both print and web, and if a web developer, you will help provide front-end development for digital and web pieces.

Required skills:

  • Must be a college student or a recent graduate majoring in a design/development related field (preference is given to juniors, seniors or recent graduates)
  • Exceptional follow-through and attention to detail are a must
  • Must possess strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with the Adobe Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Experience using WordPress, CSS & HTML are a plus

As Warschawski offers a truly unique immersion experience, all of our AAs are required to commit to the entire three month term of the AA Program. The AA Program is full-time and requires the AA to work 40 hours per week. This is an unpaid program, but we do offer the opportunity to receive college credit.

What will you gain from your AA experience? 

Our program will offer you first-hand experience and the opportunity to assemble a comprehensive branding, marketing, public relations, advertising and digital portfolio, which will give you a competitive advantage when applying for a job in the marketing communications field.

All AAs receive continuous mentoring from the team and at least one 360 degree review during their term at Warschawski. AAs are also are often provided with on the spot feedback and mentoring.
