The National Sports Forum, which took place January 31 – February 2, 2011 in Louisville, KY, is the largest annual gathering of the top team sports marketing, sales, promotions and event entertainment executives from the broad spectrum of sports teams and leagues in North America. The forum featured panel discussions, keynote speakers and a trade show.
David hosted an interactive session to help Forum attendees put social media into its proper perspective. He shared best practices to help businesses determine when and where to use social media to reach a brand’s core target audience and how to successfully use social media in an integrated marketing communications strategy that helps a company achieve its business goals and reinforce its brand. David shared social media case studies that demonstrated the do’s and don’ts of social media campaigns.
“This year’s Forum gave me an opportunity to help sports business executives feel less overwhelmed about incorporating social media into a marketing strategy,” said Warschawski. “Sharing with folks how they can leverage social media appropriately as part of an integrated marketing communications campaign that drives real business results was the focus of today’s session, and what Warschawski works on every day with its clients.”
