BALTIMORE – September 30, 2020 – Warschawski, a full-service advertising, marketing, digital, public relations, branding, web design, videography, and photography, VR/AR, creative and crisis communications agency, announced today that Sam Tomlinson, Vice President of Strategy and Analytics, will participate in an upcoming Drexel University Alumni Panel titled, “Career Pivoting and Marketing Leadership During COVID-19,” to be held virtually on October 15, 2020. Registration is still open and available here.
The panel will provide experiential insights on how marketing professionals can lead during the COVID-19 era while adding value to customers, growing revenue and positively impacting their organization. In addition, panelists will share actionable strategies for how marketing professionals at all stages of their career can effectively network in our “new normal” to position themselves for jobs, as well as resources to support their job search.
The panel will be moderated by Kena Sears-Brown, Director of Continuing Professional Education & Workforce Initiatives at Drexel University. Joining Sam on the panel will be Frannie DeFranco, Director of US Investor Relations at GlaxoSmithKline, Shefali Sharma, Business Strategy Consultant and Global Brand Marketing Team at SAP.
“COVID is a catalyst that has accelerated trends that are reshaping the entire marketing ecosystem,” said Sam Tomlinson. “The one-two punch of a pandemic and a global recession has most organizations focused on survival, while marketers are being challenged to quantify impact, not just activity. This is the new reality for the marketing communications industry, and it has massive implications for everyone in the field – from mid-career professionals trying to figure out their next step to recent graduates hoping to take their first. I’m looking forward to discussing how the marketing communications role is evolving as a result of these challenging circumstances, as well as how professionals can best position themselves in an increasingly competitive job market.”
In his role as VP, Sam oversees and manages the agency’s strategy and analytics initiatives. A thought leader in the digital and data marketing spaces, Sam is frequently sought out for comment and expertise. He is regularly invited to speak at major regional, national and international conferences, including HeroConf, SMX, PRSA ICON, Search Marketing Summit (AU), AMEC & The Digital Analytics Association, among others. Sam is also a member of the Executive Education faculty at the renowned Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, an adjunct instructor at Cabrini University and a guest lecturer at Georgetown University & New York University. Sam was named one of the “Marketers of Tomorrow” by Target Marketing, a Maryland Daily Record 2020 VIP List winner one of the Top 50 Most Influential PPC Experts by PPC Hero.
