Warschawski Grows Senior Team with Addition of James Currie as Director of Integrated Marcom

BALTIMORE – May 5, 2011 – Warschawski, a full service branding, marketing, PR, advertising and interactive agency, announced today the addition of James Currie as Director of Integrated Marcom. James will lead the development of integrated marketing communications projects that include any combination of social media, online and interactive components, copy and editorial writing, PR, marketing and advertising. James brings an extensive and varied professional background to Warschawski. He has launched and run two successful businesses, been an award winning journalist and photographer, developed integrated marketing campaigns and creative projects, and handled the very technical side of writing code and custom applications for websites and interactive campaigns.

“James brings a unique combination of skill sets to Warschawski that will help us continue to grow our full-suite of offerings — all under one roof,” commented David Warschawski, CEO of Warschawski. “It’s very rare to find a professional who possess his level of technical acumen coupled with a deep understanding of how to create integrated campaigns that achieve real business results. James is a renaissance man with a strong and diverse background in all aspects of marketing communications, and we are excited to leverage his expertise to continue delivering outstanding results for our clients.”

An award-winning journalist and photographer, James launched Five O’Clock Publishing, LLC in 1998 to produce On Tap Magazine, a monthly publication focused on Washington D.C.’s nightlife, entertainment and cultural events. Under his guidance, the company expanded to offer events, promotions and marketing services to a client base that included some of the world’s most recognizable brands, including the Washington Capitals, Washington Nationals, DC United, Anheuser-Busch InBev, Bacardi, and Southwest Airlines, among many others. Most recently prior to joining Warschawski, James founded the Newport Creative Group, a firm specializing in website creation, branding, logo design, custom application development and open source Content Management Systems (CMS).

James holds a B.A. from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. In his spare time, James enjoys running, pizza making and anything involving water. He currently resides in the Canton area of Baltimore City with his fiancée.
